2015 Talent Show
Rescue PTC is sponsoring a Student/Teacher Talent Show on the evening of Thursday, March 12th. The time will be finalized after we know how many acts will be performing. The students will also do a performance that day during school. There will be a mandatory rehearsal on Wednesday, March 11th after school, to do a complete run-through of the show. Students are responsible for practicing their acts on their own, prior to the rehearsal.
Students in all grades and all staff members are eligible to participate. Group acts are encouraged. Solo acts are limited to 2 minutes; group acts may go up to 3 minutes. Acts will be required to audition on Wednesday, February 25th after school (those involved in other after school activities may audition after those activities). An additional audition date may be added depending on how many acts sign up to participate. Students may participate in only one act. Please keep in mind that any music used in the act must be appropriate for all audiences. No lip syncing will be allowed.

Information about Common Core State Standards
Educational standards describe what students should know and be able to do in each subject in each grade. Since 2010, 45 states have adopted the same standards for English and math. These standards are called the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Having the same standards helps all students get a good education, even if they change schools or move to a different state. Teachers, parents, and education experts designed the standards to prepare students for success in college and the workplace.
