The Last Day of school

The last day of for or the 2011-2012 school year is May 24^th and it’s a minimum day (dismissal at 12:35).  All kindergarten classes will be in class from 8:45 to 1:00 Monday - Wednesday & 8:55 - 12:35 on Thursday.

2012 First day of school

The first day of school for the 2012-2013 school year will be Thursday August 9th.  We will have a new start time of 8:45 a.m.

The Rescue School community is committed to our responsibility of creating and maintaining a meaningful and memorable educational environment.  Working together with our students and their families, we promote success for all of our students.

Nestled in an area rich in the history of California including the Pony Express and the onset of the Gold Rush, Rescue Elementary School is a quiet oasis in an area of rapidly expanding foothill neighborhoods.  School buses pass along a road next to which cows are grazing with deer and wild turkeys appearing from time to time.  Approaching our school from the west you will see the Sierra Nevada mountains in the background, covered with snow for much of the year.  Our enrollment of Kindergarten through 5th grade hovers at about 500 enthusiastic students.  The Parent Teacher Council at Rescue is a generous group of dedicated parents who passionately support our school community with their efforts.  Our teachers are a highly qualified collection of nurturing and devoted professionals with consistently high standards for themselves and their students.
